Child Advocacy CenterThe Morgan County Child Advocacy Center (CAC) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and a full member of the Alabama Network of Child Advocacy Centers. The Morgan County CAC is also an associate member of the National Children’s Alliance, the national accrediting body for child advocacy centers.

The center is located at 801 Church St, NE in Decatur, Alabama.

The Morgan County Child Advocacy Center provides an array of services at no charge to children suspected of having been sexually and/or physically abused. Services include:

  • Forensic Interviews
  • Extended Forensic Interviews
  • Family Advocacy
  • Referrals for Medical Examinations at the National Children’s Advocacy Center in Huntsville, Alabama
  • Therapy
  • Multidisciplinary Case Review

The Morgan County Child Advocacy Center receives funds from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs, the Alabama Network of Child Advocacy Centers, United Way, the City of Decatur, the Morgan County Commission, and the City of Hartselle. State and federal budget cuts have a substantial impact on the center.  Donations to support the ongoing operations of the Morgan County Child Advocacy Center are always needed and greatly appreciated.
